Podcasts have largely been a global medium, but as listener numbers grow one studio sees an opportunity to build its business by targeting local listeners one city at a time. Double Elvis, the company behind hit podcasts such as Disgraceland and 27 Club, has launched a new audio network called Lust for Live. It will create city-based content with a mix of podcasts, live audio, and video. Like Double Elvis podcasts, the driving force will be music with content for different cities informing listeners of upcoming live events and introducing them to national and local acts through a mix of interviews, performances and curated recommendations.
